Does the Clubman S come with "Sport" botton?

I know the Cooper S come with the "Sport" botton, what about the Clubman S? Or is it a sport package one thing for the clubman?

Thanks

The sport button is also standard in both Clubman models, be it Cooper or Cooper S, regardless of transmission choice. What's standard equipment in the Clubman is the DSC (Dynamic stability control). You have to pay extra for DSC (Standalone or part of the sport package) in the regular R56 hardtops. Hope this helps!

The S button is magnificent. Had fun test driving while fiddling with the DSC and S buttons.

Interestingly, the sport button is an option for the R56 and R55 in the European market. US spec cars get it standard from factory.

Speaking of DSC, isn't there some federal requirement to make this type of feature standard on all cars by a certain year?

I haven't heard about the "sport button". What does it do?

It tightens the steering and improves throttle response. It is mostly an electronic gadget. It doesn't give you more power or anything like that.

My owner's manual says, "Pressing the sport button causes your Mini to respond even more sportily. Engine responds more spontaneously to movement of the accelerator. Steering response is more direct. With automatic transmission: More rapid gear shifting in sport program."
So that is all I know until I actually mess with it in the next few days.

I believe my MY2011 all cars sold in the US have to have some sort of stability control, standard. But don't quote me on it.

umberto, I bought the album when it was first released, and I've seen KC many times since then. I think we may be just a bit off-topic, however, so my apologies to anyone under 50, as this was way back in '68.

I guess the trade off is fuel consumption?

When I go on the highway and take off the "sport button" it seems to ride smoother. Not sure if it is just in my head as I could understand if the shocks were "air"..

I tell people it is arming the nitrous (which I don't have ..on this vehicle)

I like the sport button on my Clubman S auto when I am in heavy traffic. It keeps the auto in a lower gear and shifts firmer. Makes it easier to accelerate in and out of traffic. I have noticed that in Sport mode the auto doesn't shift into 6th gear until around 80-85. It makes a small impact on mileage on the auto depending on how much accelerating I do. I've noticed I can leave it in Sport mode and upshift using the paddles when I want higher gear.

I have a manual transmission Clubman S. With the Sport button off when I am in traffic, I always feel like the car is going to stall as I start off in first.

At first, I thought I was just rusty with a manual car, however, the problem has continued. It's like the throttle is not responding quickly to the accelerator. I find I have to press the sport button, and then the throttle responds much better.

I am beginning to wonder if the car has a problem with the normal throttle response. Or is it just me? Anyone else experience this?

I thought it did. I was wondering why everyone was listing torque as 192 lbs/ft when I saw it listed as 177.

My brochure said that it bumped torque up to 192. I dunno, that's what I read.
