Nope. Took about 4 hours total, but it would've taken a lot less time if I had 4 jack stands that I could've put it up on. I could only do 2 calipers at a time, so it definitely took longer.

It's a basic process though. Clean and sand the calipers, brush on the paint (3 coats, 15 minutes between coats) and then 2 hours to dry before you put the wheels back on, and 24 hours before you drive it. The kit was only $18, how could I say no?

burbankianmini, the sensors fit just fine in the wheels. No TPMS error messages for me!

I really like the look of the painted calipers.
What do you mean by Kit, did you purchase a paint kit to do it? What type of paint was it and were did you get it?

Duplicolor makes a Caliper Paint Kit that you can get at your local AutoZone or Riebes Auto Parts, or any similar store. It's about 18 dollars and comes with the brushes, the paint, the cleaner, and some masking tape. It's quality paint made to withstand 500+ degrees, which you definitely need on your brakes!

Some people have used G2 paint, but my local AutoZone had this kit, so I went for it. So far so good!

Do a search for caliper paint in the Interior/Exterior forum, theres tons of threads about it!

Yep... There are several sites. I was on one last night. I find the link again where you buy a kit to paint your calipers. I actually have a site where I've found green paint for my calipers. I just have to find the time, stop procrasinating, and buy the stuff to paint them.

This is the stuff I'm going to probably buy for Elphie: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/cat...caliper_paint/

These aren't the most creative pics, but I had a quick minute before my shoot started and these are literally the only two captures I shot. My UJ scuttles finally came in and wanted to post pics for anyone interested in what these actually look like.
The carrier is smooth plastic as compared to the textured plastic stock piece.

Hey There,
If this is the car I think it is I met you at MinSpeed the day you had the wheels put on. I think I saw you today down by the rail yard in Ft Lauderdale.
The car is really looking good. Best of luck, and Happy Motoring.......

Larry

I was going to say to that it was interesting that your Clubman matched your dog. I think, if I'm not mistaken, that your dog is a rather large breed isn't he?

And ephotofw, the black jack side scuttles look very nice!

First off congrats. That's a gorgeous DS/DS Clubman! Love the look!

I second rasputinj, what wheels are those.

Nothing against the dog (or blue10) but your creations (MINI and photos) are beautiful!

ephotodfw & blue10, great pics of DS (which I had been jonesing for) .

Nice color match blue10 on the DS dog! Since I have black saddled terriers, I'd have to go with black roof and hot chocolate body...oh, hot chocolate body sounds divine. (I'm sure LadyG agrees!)

I take offense to that... I've seen the pictures and they are NOT "hot"...Now, show me a pussycat doll anyday... THEY are hot!
