I bet if you controlled the color hues and tones on your photos that your leather, etc., would look the same.

Beautiful!!

I think what he's referring to is the stitching pattern/seams of the leather on the lower seat cushions. They're completely opposite of each other; does seem odd.

Awesome "color" representation on the HC! Whose Clubman is that anyway in lurch70's photos? The background looks strangely familiar...like Downtown MINI in Orlando, where we bought ours! Howdy neighbor!

BTW, William Blake, did you tint your rear windows or did they come that way? Never noticed before.

That is strange. Mine are like lurch70's. The configurator shows them the same as lurch70's. Maybe you have a one in 10 million version. Be careful with it because it will probably be worth a lot of money in 25 years.

Could the explanation be that ours are the US version?

William has the European version. The stitching on that version wouldn't meet U.S. Federal safety ratings. Consequently, the change resulted in a 5 MPG loss in fuel economy.

I think it's a car that was sitting on the lot at that dealer ... someone snapped the pics and they were originally posted in the "They're here" thread.
That's where I got them from.

PS: I am really dissapointed BB that you still have not figured out who "lurch" is?

could the different stitching differ because of a heated/non heated seat option?

The difference in the seat bottom is due to the US weight sensor requirement for the airbag. US spec MINI have had different stitching for some seat bottoms since 2005.

hi BB!

Ordered a HC / Silver MC over the weekend. Looking forward to getting it.
Was all after a Lightning Blue, but those pics from the Florida dealership above sold me on the HC. Plus I wanted something a bit darker than my old Chili Red.

The HC looks like it will need some waxing and maintenance to make it pop ...but when you do, will it ever.

Aha - I hadn't been keeping up with this thread - so a hearty congratulations to you and yours "Lurch" - very appropriate name - and we in the northeast are going to be celebrating your return from the dark side very soon!

You can inspire me to wax my BRG.

Hey, I'm just gearing up to order what will be my new baby - HC & Silver w/ HC/cloth interior, sport suspension/seats/wheel (but not kit b/c I don't want the runflats), sunroof, comfort entry... I can't wait.

Anyone in the DC/NOVA/MD area have opinions on dealers? I went to test drive in Sterling, but since I'm doing my order entirely via internet/phone I can take my pick...

I'm already jumping up and down!
