R52 Too hot for open motoring?
Humidity and temp have been brutal here as well. I haven't done much open motoring because honestly who wants to get to work sweating, with a soaking wet shirt and pants. The leatherette seats and heat do not mix well at all.
And on the previous comment about windows down and deflector up. I have done it several times and the deflector seems fine. Doesn't help as much as with the windows up, but does block some air when the windows are down.

It's been really hot and humid here in Chicagoland for the last 5-6 days. I've done a bit of open motoring when I'm in the MINI alone. But need to use the A/C with passengers. SAT was brutal, but we went for a nice drive with the top up.
In the morning, it's not too hot so I have the top rolled back and windows down. On the way home, I'm heading east so I do the same as the morning so I don't get direct sun, but still able to stay cool even in this heat
