hey thanks to all you guys for the great comments...
it's uplifting to hear so many compliments
unfortunately for me I just (finally) had my taxes done and I owe a bunch

there's a downside to everything :impatient
if I'd done them earlier I would've probably cancelled my order.. so I dont know whether to be happy or sad!
I guess at least I can enjoy a good top-down drive after a nice dinner of ramen noodles lol..

Attache are pictures of my Wife's new Mini.
I have a question on the durability of the front seat material. Her car has the tan and grey leather seats and the seam on the drivers seat bottom cushion seem to be pulling apart as the sticking is beginning to show and the gap has grown between the seam. Is this normal?
Thanks, Bob M

no, that's NOT normal... I had full leather on my last MINI (05 tintop) and though I never liked them as much as the sport seats with synthetic cow that I had on my 03 (yeah, had a LOT of MINIs here) because they didn't seem to hold as snugly, they were high quality otherwise, and no problems at all. You should make your dealer replace the seat if it's coming loose somewhere. This is no Chevy y'know!

Report it to your dealer and even if they refuse at this point, you'll have recourse if it fails later!

BartMack,
Thanks for the wonderful pics of your car.
Great lighting!
I have a PW convertible on order which was completed yesterday! It's probably going to be another month before I get it --so your pics are keeping me going.
Can't wait to drive it home!

Your car is beautiful ! I love the contrast with the black grill. The Aero kit looks great. Best of luck.

I saw a MCS here where a guy pulled the door rings and dash and had them matched to PW. Can't find the post anymore.Originally Posted by jaxmini
Bart, After seeing your car I immediately went onto Mini's site to build my own. Sadly, as you've mentioned, no PW interior. Bet it would look great. Have a great summer with the new ride.
Going with piano black wouldn't be bad but strangely that's not an option either.

The first couple of shots are poster-worthy. Thanks for increasing my envy of the PW cabrio...

It's pretty easy to do. I pulled mine and had them painted black at a body shop. It wasn't too expensive either!Originally Posted by Crusoe

There was a PW Cabrio at MOT that had black wheels and the black leather dash. It looked hot, hot, hot!!!
