Spark plug thread repair

Hello,

A while a go I had a spark plug decided to blow out in a very uneventful way. I had my mechanic professionally installed a save a thread. It has been going on strong for 15k, no issues.

My biggest question. When time comes to replace plugs. Can I?

Should be able too. That is I have used a few various thread repair kits (Heli-coil and I forget the others...) and for holes that the bolt was not an install once and never remove again. And never had any issues.

'course, if the tech didn't do a proper repair job or over torqued the plug or in some way did something wrong...

The repair was done professionally. The number 3 spark plug hasn't come out over 15k miles.

Should I even mention to my new mechanic about the spark plug repair? I moved that's why I have a new one.

Also why does this happen on the w10 engines?
