After looking (with varying degrees of intensity) for almost 2 years, I finally bought a MINI. My search had been exclusively focused on the S model. However, a base 2007 convertible offered on BaT last month attracted my attention due to its low mileage. I threw one bid at it and won. It seems to be a somewhat unusually optioned car but others here would know better!

It is BRG with a green top and has a 5 speed, Cordoba beige leather, and Chrono, Sport, and Cold Weather Packages. It spent its life in Florida (apparently near the ocean) and shows just under 11,000 miles. Unfortunately, minor cosmetic flaws make it appear more in line with a much higher mileage example.

A set of new tires cured the howling from the original dry-rotted tires. With 16 inch wheels shod with 55 series (non- run flat) tires, it rides surprisingly well. I am more than happy to trade the supercharger and sport suspension for the comfortable ride as it will be just a top-down cruiser (and the season is short here in Ohio). It will be driven very little, likely less than 1000 miles per year, so it will always be low mileage car.

 

Congratulations! Enjoy it, even it it is a seldom use car. I know what you mean about coastal cars and the aging effects. A friend and I used to refer to it as a car being a smoker; it just ages everything so much faster.

Love the Green! Reminds me of the Rover Mini Cabriolet in Green, and I suppose many other BMWs with green convertible roof.
