Can anyone tell me how to determine if a car came with LSD.
The Birth Certificate doesn't show that level of detail if I'm right.
Perhaps there is some sort of marking on the transmission / diff casing?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

VIN decoders will show whether LSD was factory installed such as this:
2TA Limited Slip Differential Sperrdiferential

I've read here where a tag identifying LSD is attached to the differential but don't recall now how that reads...

 

From what I’ve read on the Euro forum, it should to be from a facelift Getrag with the code BKL at the end of one of the numbers on the barcode label, and probably somewhere on the casing too.

 

Yes, there will be a barcode label on the transmission housing with BKL for limited slip differential. I thought I had the picture on my laptop, but I cannot find it
