Top wont go down : Please Help!

So I tried putting my top down and the sunroof opens up but when it comes time for the 2 hooks to unlatch and the top go down, the one on the right wont unhook! now when i drive around i hear air coming in bc the hook wont close the top securely. I noticed a rattle also, seems like some plastic piece broke in the track and is just stuck in there. What broke and how do i go about fixing it?

any help would be super appreciated. i saw one part (soft top slider) that was like $500-600!! I really hope thats not what i need and there is a less expensive fix

Check the claw latch part of the system, the bottom piece can snap due to the top binding or not being greased on the tracks :

#18 Convertible Top Front Linkage - Pair " Front latches " Part # 54347174763 - One side of these might be broken/separated. Just saw another r52 like mine that had this broken.
