Just picked up an '06 R52 JCW with the navigation system in the center pod. Speedometer & tachometer are on the steering column.

My question is this, where's the engine temp gauge? Or doesn't it have one? Idiot light?

(yes, this is the car I just got that won't start, as per my thread in the JCW section, you can see pictures and my write up in that section)

No temperature gauge with the navigation system, only a warning light in the space above the nav screen (along with other warning lights). See page 15 in the Owners Manual: https://www.miniusa.com/content/dam/...All_Models.pdf

 

OK, thanks.....I never got an owners manual with the car.....only inherited a bunch of problems with the car

You can always get a Scangauge that plugs into the OBD II port and keep tabs on the engine by user configured monitoring.

Thanks for the link to the owners manual, i did pick up the correct year owners manual along with the other booklets in the leather pouch for under $20 from eBay
