Inexpensive cup holder solution

I've been on the lookout for a solution to the way-too-crowded standard cup holders on my 2006 Cooper S convertible. After much research, I decided to take the chance on this $11 multi-use cup holder from eBay. It's not super elegant but gets the job done. Fits perfectly in the standard cup holder and it holds my beverages out of the way of the control panel.

Note: I don't have any needs more than a simple place to put a medium cup of coffee so this may not suit anybody looking to hold larger, heavier cups or bottles.

Link to where I got it:

Just thought I'd share. Let me know if anybody has questions or wants photos from any other angles.

$11 from eBay.

Toy octopus helping to balance the cup in open mode.

Fits snug and swivels out to the side.

There are multiple parts that can swivel out but that might make it unwieldy.

My first thought was a search for a solution. Glad to share mine but it doesn't square with yours. Mine: NO foodie things of any kind in my cabin. On long road trips however, plastic water bottles with caps firmly attached are fine. The most important aspect though is topless motoring, motoring at its best.

That is a nice solution. Also holds a phone or other items. I don't need one but who can resist a bargain.

$8.59 https://www.ebay.com/itm/382193499651

An even better deal! At that price, it won't be painful at all to replace in case it ever wears out or breaks.
