Hi all

R52 2005 mini 'vert normally aspirated.

What muffler do I want to put in my car?

Got rear-ended a while back, text-while-driver trashed my 6 month old muffler.

The insurance company sent my car to a body shop who replaced the muffler with a new mini brand one from the local dealer (who I do NOT like and won't go near).

New muffler rattles terribly near the cat, body shop claims it's an internal defect and has suggested that I bring the car to the dealer to take care of. I would very much prefer not to turn the car over to them if at all possible.

I told the body shop that I'd pick out a new muffler and they could get that one, return the mini one to the dealer and everyone would be happier. They're OK with this, so now I need to find the right muffler.

Has to be price comparable to the authentic mini one, and I want to keep the exhaust tip.

Suggestions?

Factory JCW Sound kit exhaust or Milltek would be my pick. The Milltek has one specifically made for the R50 , but with spacing will fit the R52.
