Lots of problems

So i recently took my Mini to Mini of Murray to have my transmission oil replaced. they charged an arm and a leg, and to top it off, <300 miles later, my airbag light and seatbelt light went off (and wont turn off), my turn signals now randomly go off. The cabin lights flicker, my CVT transmission readout says EP instead of PRNDL, etc... Mini denies any responsibility, of course, but i find it odd that this all happened right after i git it serviced.

Is this a BCU issue? What could cause all these failures all at once? My battery is dying. Is that a possible cause?

A bad battery can cause al of this and a lot more. Take care of that first and see what happens. Also clear any codes that may show up before blaming someone. Motor on.

You can also use our DIY tech articles as a reference for some works on the Mini to help keep costs down if needed. The battery is a good place to start as well.

The battery is the first place to check / then check the alternator . Thats whats wrong most of the time.

And then the BCM :

You don't indicate your location. I'll bet there's a MINI club somewhere near you and they will know where the best independent MINI shop is. A good independent will diagnose problems then correct what needs to be corrected. Dealerships don't generally take the time to diagnose, they mostly just throw new parts at it and move on.
