Rear rollbar removal

Hi thus us my first post so be gentle I just purchased an 95 mini coopers convertible that has 135000 miles on it, purchased it pretty cheap and had mini look at it so it's pretty good I did have to replace the timing chain tensioner a lower seal and some other minor stuff. I have a very slight rattling noise very light every know and then so I had the timing chain tensioner replaced but still have the noise now and again any ideas what that could be any problems that plague the o5 mini s ? Also I want to remove the rear rollbar on my mini its a convertible any problems or reasons not to ? How hard would it be ? Thanks in advance

First person that comes to my mind is BlimeyCabrio. He's on "motoring alliance" website, not sure if he's on this site. Here's his website <html> http://www.blimeycabrio.com/ </html>

I am impressed, firstly, that the gate keeper allowed that reference to Nathan's MINI forum. In the past, any mention to that other place would have gotten a huge strikeover from the censor.

Now to the matter at hand. I would strongly suggest you leave those roll bars alone. The hard top (R50 - 53 & etc.) is designed to protect the occupants in the case of a roll over and that is what those roll bars are for as well. The windshield frame and the roll bars will keep the occupants of our R52 and 57's from being incorporated into whatever foul substance your MINI should turn turtle into.
Do a search for the 'T.I.T.S & A.R.S.E.' on this forum. Roughly translated that stands for 'The Inverted Turtle Society & Anti Rollover Support Enthusiasts', the latter of which I am a proud member with a small plate stuck to the speedo tower stating "Do Not Invert".

I never understood why there's such an issue with mentioning of other sites. I thought these forums were used so we can help each other.
But oh well, I think that's a question that I shouldn't be digging into. So I'll let sleeping dogs lie.
Good luck with what ever mod you're trying to do but let's go with safety first

Your assessment is spot on. In the past, the 'mention' has actually resulted in the letters being replaced with little stars ( * ). Nathan was the lead guy here until he sold it so it has been broadly speculated that there was a bit of pique when he started up *** - but who knows or really cares that deeply? Live and let live, right?

EDIT!! There it is!!! I inserted the capital initials of that other place separated by a slash and it turned into little stars.
