BTW, to all future Cabrio owners-YOU will get sunburned, the roof will rattle, the roof will leak, you will lose your hat if you go too fast, you will get wet if you go too slow, you will become a blonde no matter what color your hair is now

LOL!! You all are funny...
I've had a convertible almost my entire driving life and yes, they ALL have their little issues. But that's okay - I'm still getting the Cabrio and will love every second of driving it....
Doesn't bother me that it will be heavier, etc. - I'm getting it because I love our current MINI and I've always had a rag top - so I'm getting the best of both worlds...

Cabrio experience - from one who knows !
Hi all, Just like to set the record straight in a few issues, I've got nearly 6000 miles in on my Cabrio here in the UK.
Roof Rattles , only one, and that is fixed on production cars,
Leaks, not one, despite driving in torrential rain on the 'freeway' with spray from trucks for miles and miles in the early Spring. And it rains in the UK quite a lot.
Roof has never jammed despite being demonstrated to 100's of people.
To keep the sun off when the roof is down, try wearing clothes, and a broadbrimmed hat.
With the roof off , the perimetric alarm is effective, but only if bystanders take notice and do something about the 'they'.
The car does not seem any slower than its tin top counterpart:smile:
Cowl shake is almost imperceptable even on really bad surfaces
No flies on me
I keep dry with the roof down unless I am parked or sat in traffic, rear passengers however fare much worse.
So all in all, its the best soft top in its class compared to anything we have in the UK. Now go and order a few please, make that waiting list longer and longer
