I've had this R52S for 2-3 months and installed a Alta 15% pulley 1 month ago. Since then I have pulled the P0341 code (cam position sensor) 2 times while accelerating out of the same turn to get on the freeway (best turn in town to flex my "mini muscle").

Reset code and 2 weeks later same thing - Any ideas?

 

My r53 pulls the same code every few months. I did read that the code could also be the crankshaft sensor as well something about a miss labeling in the OBD programing or the 2 sensors sharing the same circuit (not sure how true that is though). It could be just a short in the wiring or a bad sensor. I would check the wiring harnesses to see if they might be loose. Hopefully it's just a short since the camshaft sensor is a bit pricey at $120. I have also noticed mine tends to throw the p0341 code when the weather gets warm.

If you find a good fix for it let me know as mine threw the same code a few days ago. Next day off i'm going to see about checking the crank sensor harness to see if that works.

I had a new cultch put in last week and they did removed a lot things to get to the transmission I am wondering if I was just some lose wiring. I got the codes cleared this morning I will check all the wiring
