Lowering a Cabrio

I have a 05 JCW Cabrio with Koni Yellows, IE adjustables, 18" wheels, Willwood brakes and wondered if anyone has lowered their Cabrio with a combination similar to this? The fronts have spacers and wheels are "just" clearing the Willwoods.
I'm thinking of putting on Swift springs to get about a 1" drop.

Aren't the JCW cars a little lower to begin with? I have a similar setup to yours, but haven't lowered my Cooper S. Let me know how it worked out for you.

N2MINI..I've seen pics of your Cabrio..looks great. I just bought Breytons and Megan CO's from a couple of NAM members. Decided I wanted to go the coilover route so I could adjust the drop/drive rather than just going for springs. Got the Breytons on today and the ride is considerably better with the 17's and 40 series tires vs the 18 35 series tires. I was somewhat surprised there would be that much difference.
My initial request was to see if anyone had dropped a Cabrio with the R95 wheels and Konis and wondered what the result was.

Cool... I too went from the 18's and 35 series tires to 17 and it made a noticable difference.. I did the coilovers mainly so I could lower the front more then the H-sport springs did. They didn't make different springs for the hardtop vs the cabrio, and with the cabrio being alittle heavier in the rear the front just didn't drop as much as I wanted it too. Had more gap in the front then the rear.. Love my Megan's. Not the best CO's out there but for the money and camber plates up front well worth the money for what I needed..

Did you do anything with the rears? I'm thinking of leaving them alone and just dumping the front. I guess I'm old school and like the raked look. Hows the ride dropped now compared to when you had the 18's?

When I first put them on with the 18's I noticed a better ride then with the H-sport Springs.. Then when I went to the 17's and got a tad better.. Still alittle harsh but it sits how I want it.. Maybe just alittle lower in the front then the rear so I have some rake but not much...
