R52 Static when using Ipod connector.

Static when using Ipod connector.
We just pick up a 09 Cooper S conv.
On our drive yesterday, we plugged in an ipod and later an Iphone.
Both gave us a little static coming from the Tweeter. Anybody else experience this?
We're taking it back to the dealer next week to get the stripes put on. Just wondering if this is a common problem.
