Catback for 2005 S Cabrio

Hi All,
I'm looking into a catback exhaust system for my 2005 S Cabrio. Ihave already installed an intake system and 15% pulley and now that I'm getting more air in, I think it's time to make it easier to get out and get a little more aggressive exhaust note to boot. I was very interested in the Invidia, but read that it will not work on the Cabrio because of conflict with extra bracing. I also read that the Borla street version will work for the Cabrio. Anyone out there installed a catback on the S cabrio? What did you install or what would you recommend?

I've installed the Milltek on my cabrio. It has a nice mellow exhaust note and will not drown out at freeway speeds. However, it is a bit more expensive for the cabrio. Also if you plan on installing the M7 USS, you will have some issues with rubbing. You could go with one of the other under strut systems.

I looked into the Invidia before and that is an absolutely georgeous system. If I had to do it again, I would go with the Invidia and have a local mufler shop do the S bend needed for the cabrio.

The borla is significantly louder than the milltek but a nice system. If you're looking for a deeper note, I think the borla would be it.

Best of luck!

Catback

I'm having trouble getting info from vendors. Looking for Megan exhaust for a '08 MCS Cabrio. It should be considered a R-52, right?

You may want to consider a header, instead of an exhaust system, for similar pricing but way different performance gains?

I believe both the RMW and Mynes are putting out about 8-10hp and torque gains over the stock exhaust manifold, for about $1,000 installed.

I went this route, and spent $40 for a one-ball... and couldn't be happier.

Especially with the stealth factor of preserving the stock exhaust tips (but gaining the high rpm growl of the header).

I think exhausts give you 2-3hp, if that...
