So I parked my car in the garage yesterday, Sun roof open and all windows down. doors un-locked
Woke up thismorning went out to drive my kid to school. The top was completely down. and the doors were locked
Has this ever happened to anyone else????

never happened to me. Are you sure that your kid din't play around with the remote and lower the top? Just a thought, but you know how the Mini gremlins work.

 

What year's your MINI? One of the features of the 1st gen was the car would automatically lock itself up if left unattended for a long period. I think it was 20 minutes, but don't remember. I read about it, but never actually tested it out myself.

The opposite feature is if you hold down the open button on your remote, the sunroof will open, windows go down and the doors unlock.

 

Nope my kid and I were both over at my studio all night, key was nowhere even near the car....I was looking for paw prints thinking maybe my dog was out joyriding around last night, but no signs of dog hair, or paw prints. dog did however have an unusually large grin on her face
