question about cabriolet...

Does the 2007 Cabriolet S have an OBC? Also how much weight can the "tailgate" hold. ANd most importantly how well will the 2007 Cariolet top survive winter? I plan on buying a cover for when the cars parked, but I have read that their has been wear issues with the top.

I have an 07 non s cabrio, didn't opt for the OBC, wish I did now. As for the top I live in NJ and the top has gone through 1 Winter and a hot summer now with no noticable wear, there is one smal discoloration where the top folds into the back of the car but nothing else. The car is outside most of the time, when the garage is clean it goes in, but how often does that happen? I try to keep the top cleaned and treated 2 or 3 times a year, I also (forgive me everyone) take the car through the brushless car wash every week. I do wax the car every other month and treat all the leather and plastic parts of the car to armorall monthly.

Yes, there have been wear issues with the tops but mostly on early build Cabrios (05-06) The wear issues are not weather related. If I'm not mistaken, the S comes with the OBC (I find them useless for the most part) I got what I need(temp & MPH). You are getting such a great deal, go for it. You won't regret it.

80 KG translates to 176 lbs It's on a sticker on the "tailgate"

Yeah; I think the main reason for that sicker on the tailgate is to remind you "Don't sit your fat azz here! Or if you do, plan on buying a new gate." (It can't support my fat azz either.)

Good place to set a cooler of beer; bad place to sit the drinkers of beer.

It did, but there was a "1" in front of the "75". That's an attempt at humor, by the way.

OBC is/was an option on my '08 MCSCm. The easy was to spot it is by the button that controls it. On the left (turn signal) stalk, there will be a button sticking out of the top of the stalk. It is pretty obviously just sticking out there.

Its not a pickup truck so it won't hold Aunt Sues fat butt if thats what you're asking.
EDIT: Sorry just noticed that your in Europe so that would be "Frau Helga's Butt".

I would keep it inside as much as possible, snow and ice wreak havoc on everything.
On second thought send your MINI down to me for winter storage and I"ll take good care of it.
