Hazy Rearview Mirror

I realized today that with the top down the rearview mirror is extremely hazy, almost looks foggy. I have owned other convertibles before and the BEST one for overcoming rearview/rollbar challenges was the Porsche Boxster with its custom mirror with angled edges to avoid seeing the rollbars.

(1) Does anyone have a similar problem?
(2) How hard is it to replace the mirror?
(3) If I go thru with it, can I get the auto dimming one?

My mirror looks slightly foggy within a day after I wash the car and clean all the glass with clarity. Right after I clean it, it looks great. Is this just a surface film due to some kind of plastic offgassing or is it internal? I can't help much on the rest of the questions - I would guess that bringing power to the auto mirror might be a bit tricky....

With the roll bars and wind screen, there is not much of a view to the rear anyway.

offgassing from the dash. If you saw your windshield in a certain light, I guarantee you'd see the same hazing.

Treat your dash with some Aerospace 303, clean the glass really well (Prima Clarity and glass cloth works GREAT) and you shouldn't have that problem any more. Or at least for a few months when it's time for the 303 again.
