Busy times... I snapped a couple of quick pictures. They are not the best pictures, but the car looks pretty close to new. ...and I need to clean my garage. It has about 9K miles on it now.

 

What a gem, that inteior look brand new. Nice you got the Malt Brown on the white silver. Did it come with the JCW Tuning Kit ?

No JCW... put I am going to install a 17% with ALTA CAI. I also have the aero kit which I need to get painted Pepper White and install.

 

Thought I would check in here. I purchased an '08 R52 Sidewalk edition a couple of years ago. I went through this thread and realized I purchased the R52 previously owned by mimimae. Small world I guess.

Top down pic is right after we brought it home. The devil Mini pic is the following Halloween.

 

I worked with PixelHut to color match the interior for my stripes. They are very close in color. I just installed them.

 

The malt brown looks really nice on the pepper white. I finally got my sidewalk striped and it looks so much better.

 

Year the malt brown and PW combo is one of my favs. Rare to see malt brown with the metallic black. Most metallic blacks have the black English leather.

Nice, those are rare.

 

Just picked up a 08 Sidewalk with 37k on the clock. While not a JCW car it has most everything else including limited slip and nav. Mis-named silver with a blue top. We are getting to know each other so a name it premature. This is my second Mini convertible as I used to have a classic cabrio. Nice to be back in the Mini fold after a brief hiatus.

Still owe some pics I know. Gotta question as I get ready for the spring detail - are the seats all leather or just the seating surfaces like some manufacturers do?

 

They are all leather especially on the sidewalk. Was not untill Gen 2 MINI on certain leather combos that its leather top and matching color Leatherette side.

The Pure Leather CG condition smells like English leather also.

Use the cleaner , then conditioner and wipe it clean with a dry microfiber cloth and it will look great. Not greasy.

 

Hi everyone, I just picked up the car on Friday from an auction. I had been looking for a Mini as a daily driver for about a month and we just lucked into this one buying it sight unseen. It's a 2008 with only 62,000 miles. I took it to the Autocross on Sunday and had a great time and was pretty happy with it's performance considering the car still has Run Flat's. Anyway, I know you just want to see some pictures so here are just a couple that I have right now.

 

Looks a little bit like Breanne. Except she has Silver wheels,bonnet stripes, and Chrome mirror caps.

I just picked up an 07 Sidewalk this past weekend with 66k miles. So far I love it. I had a 03 S with a RMW Stroker motor so not as much HP as I'm used to, but soon it will have the usual upgrades to give it a little more "Punch"
