silly question

but tonight i noticed that on the mileage computer thingy, our average speed as gone from ~35mph to 0.4mph. nothing else has zeroed out. average fuel mileage has remained, clock stayed set, trip odometer didn't reset, only the average speed did. any ideas why? we jsut recently had a 4whl alignment done, but no other work.

it's not too big a deal, just curious.

My wife's cabrio did the same thing a few thousand miles after we bought it. Resetting the average MPH (press and hold the OBC button on the turn signal stalk while the average MPH is displayed).

By any chance, have you gone for a long time without resetting it?

we've owned the car for about 3 thousands miles, and have never reset it. so maybe it's something it does automaticly? and maybe it's somethign that was done by accident. i didn't realize you could reset it by pressing the OBC button. can one reset the average mpg the same way?

thanks for the info scoot. one last question, where can i get a dark silver version of the car in your sig for my sig? of course it needs to be without driving lights and has to have painted arches, but.....

Yes, you reset the average MPG the same way.

I think there's a bug in the MINI software that causes the average MPH readout to drop to ~0.4 MPH if you go a long time without resetting it.

As for the car graphic, Craig (COOPERation on the forum) does them. Check out this thread and see if there's already one that's close to what you need (check the whole thread, not just the first post), then you can contact Craig and ask him nicely to tweak it to match your car.
