I thought options are installed at the dealership and not at the distribution center. Yes, I have options - but since the dealership quoted me their install prices I thought they would be installing them.

The sales manager agree's that too much time has past - tomorrow marks a full month to the day its stuck at the distrbution center.

I figured I would check to see who else might have ordered a 2008 JCW....someone in the states must have as well - so I am looking for information on the car being released into the states or not.

As for damage - wouldn't they own up to that rather than lie ?

Sorry to hear of your delay, its worth the wait. We waited till may for our 07, sounds like your still waiting on the CARB number. We were told that the software was the hold up. What other goodies did you order?

I doubt I can recall everything now...JCW, Sidewalk, British Racing Green with Black/white bonnets. Cold weather, convenience, areo kit, siruis, digital power sound - these are the large items I can recall. But I think these extra's are dealer installed and shouldn't contribut to a delay at the VDC.

What do you mean by CARB number? My dealership is keeping me in the loop, I think they feel frustrated as well - I have no gripe with them, its just that we don't get decent infomration from the distribution center. And holding a car for a month is just wrong !:impatient

LOL, true. But that would be a career ending mistake if discovered - if not a lawsuit on disclosure.

Its the California air resource board. They are the fourm thats sets in place most emissions laws, and being they are the first and the leader in this other states adapt their standards.

We waited for the software, The JCW kit was shipped with the car, we took delivery and the kit was installed at the dealer. Could be a different story if yours is a factory install. Hope all works out for you.
