R50/53 Most Expensive Mini
I was at the dealer and saw a brand new 2003 Silver MCS going for 28,000. I have to say it was the nicest Mini I've seen. I asked the dealer what the most expensive Mini he's sold and he answered 34,000 dollars (then went into the extra add-ons that the 28,000 didn't have).
So my question here. Who here has the most expensive Mini, what options did you get and more importantly post a picture

I was hesistant on answering....
I paid 24k about 14 months ago for a mini cooper with 17" BBS wheels (4K), CD changer, heated seats, on board computer, bonnet stripes, pano roof, and leather. Remember, Mini's were JUST coming out, so the demand was hi.
cheers,

This is almost like the question that every day people keep on asking me with my car, as it also happen to others around here. The dreaded question from the public, that members here have been continually commenting about. No offense or nothing, but it's kind of a personal question to be asking on how much everyone shelled out for their car, IMO. Being that you asked in a more kinder manner, I don't mind much sharing that I paid $33,500 (CDN) for my MCS, which translates to about $24,708 (US).I opted out of a lot of the unnecessary items like Nav., leather seats, aero kit, HK sound(which wasn't even available when ordering mine), bonnet stripes, rally lights, and the list goes on.
The one return comment that I like most is, "Tell me how much you have in your bank account right now and how much you make at your job, and I'll let you know if you can afford one."
Cheers,

Simple recipe for enjoyment: Take 1 Mini. Add 6 gears. Drop in 1 supercharger. A dash of 91 octane. A sprinkle of style. And finally add 1 MadMan. Bake pavement and tires to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini Cooper'S' and full satisfaction. Motor On!!

That's one nice Mini above
. I also didn't think this was a personal question because 1) I don't personally know you, and 2) You don't have to answer
I myself am at the 22,000 mark. I posted the question though because I wanted to see what 30,000+ get you

A little less than $24K with sport package, HK radio, MFSW, tax, tag, title for my MCS. Wanted the Woks kit but not for $6,500. Could have easily gone over $30K. And I still haven't added on the alarm and r~~~y lights!
I paid 24,000 and some change for my Cooper. I have CVT, Leather, Nav, all three packages. I think that's it. I don't have PDC, Chrome, or Xenon lamps. I think that's all that was left when I ordered. HK wasn't available.
I have pretty nearly all options on my MCS. EB paint (adds $400), All three packages, HK Stereo, Leather Interior, Auto-Dipping mirror and Rain Sensing Wipers, S-Lite wheels, etc.
$25,100 from Cincinatti MINI before taxes, licensing, etc, etc. Pretty good price in my mind...

>>in contrast, my April Club buddy DaMatta has the least expensive MCS possible, a Jet Black/White with no options, for a total MSRP of $19,975!

My PS/Blk MCS cost 19,300 plus 400.00 for metallic paint for a total of 19,700 not counting taxes etc. It was on the boat when I made the deal and waited only five days for delivery. Princeton MINI in N.J. Just in the right place at the right time.

Lets assume you get a MCS/metallic paint with all three major packages and NAV
$19,850 + $400
Leather $1250
Premium $1250
Sport $1250
Nav $1600
HK audio $550
Subtotal $ 26,150
Add cold weather $300
Chrome Wheels or 17" R90 wheelset $2500+
Full Aero Body kit installed $3500 to $4500+
Fullset carpet floor mats/rubber boot mat $94.50/$50
6 Disc CD changer $595
Roof rack/Bike Holder $260 +
Alarm $400+
Subtotal for extras $7699.5 to 8700
Total without performance upgrades $ 33,849.50 to $ 34,850
Add the JCW kit for $5500 and you can easily get up to $ 39,349
Add some easy low rate state tax like in Hawaii only 4% and new total is $ 40,923.48
So it is pretty easy to get the price up past $30,000
Most of use that have done many performance upgrades easily spend upwards of $3000- 4000 which includes all the parts and installation. Wheelsets alone are $900 to $1700 easy. In Hawaii I pay just as much for shipping as installation so I get hit twice for upgrades.
You'd have one hell
Oh Yeah and I forgot if you don't get the HK audio upgrade and go with your own custom sound system it could easily run you $2500 to $4000 or more. Sky is the limit with custom jobs. Can you say $5000+?
Ouch- my ears hurt.

Expensive Mini thread - revisited
I know, flame me for reviving a 9 year old thread, but saw this on Motorwerks site and it's been there for over a week. Wonder if anyone proof reads their listings?
I believe this is the most expensive MINI I've ever seen...

I'd guess the most expensive MINI is a "MINI inspired by Goodwood", with a list price of $52k in the US.
