I don't think I got any "girl" pieces with my car!! Just kidding.

MOST HELPFUL TIP I GOT:
"cover the engine bay with a blanket, towel. Very good idea. After I droped and lost the nut and plastic washer I put a towel over the engine bay."

There are many other good how-to's on this in that should be in the "Interior/Exterior" Forum. Try searches on "grill removal" or "remove grill"

Here you may find a couple of tips:

Some more tips:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t=remove+grill

Here is a partial diagram:

And, one more...

I know there are others, but if you search you'll find stuff that'll help.

A little patience helps a lot with the middle grill (that is "stuck" to the bumper.)

I highly recommend a Bentley manual to go with your car. It will help you understand the little bugger a lot better and will even help with "simple" stuff like this grill removal process. It is worth its weight in plutonium (I think that's more expensive than AU??).

Wrestling with the grill was what inspired me to get a manual.

It's also good bedtime reading.

Not that's there's anything more i can add to help here..but i just wanted to say, what a PITA that was. Why on earth couldn't they just put real treaded bolts in that dern thing. I'm not sure but, if I ever wanted to put my originaly grill back on, I don't think it could (due to damage of the tips getting thinner from the nuts coming off) ...and not to mention the awkwardness of trying to look up under the hood to get any decent leverage to remove these things - not good... LOL okay okay, i'm done whining now ..but geeez, that was no fun :impatient

I used a flat tip screw driver to pry up on the nut while I turned the nut with a nutdriver. This worked ok. Still not a fun job though!
