lowering the wiper blades??

does anyone know how to lower the wiperblades?? they block quite a bit of my vision...on my moms car...its very easy to make them closer to the bottom of the windshield...giving you a much better view...can this be done to my mini?

i popped off the cover..the unbolted the bolt...but it still wouldnt budge...

Can you just raise the seat up?

You'll need a puller to ****** the arm off the shaft. I've not done this on a MINI...

You might be able to move it one tooth down, or you may have to put it back where it is...depends on how the splines are made on the shaft.

IF you can move it down a tooth, the wiper arms won't sit level and it'll look funny.

I know that when I had my windshield replaced, the wipers arms were installed in a lower position than they had originally been. Yes, they are more out of the way, but the left (driver's) side wiper no longer wipes as far to the left as it did. I'm not sure I like the trade-off.

If they don't pull off with a little pressure then you'll need a puller. I had to pull mine when I had the stripes installed. Fortunately I found out a BMW puller would work. I arrived to have my stripes installed and couldn't get the wiper off. The BMW dealership up the street popped it loose for me. Once it's off, adjust it a little then check it out before tightening too much as it may lock it back down.
