Doors Rattles i.e. movement sound. I have had the door seal relaced but ot no avail - seemed to make it worse. Now the roof meterials makes a foams crackling sound. Also like many others have the seat belt adjusted problem. Have had the major sunroof problem temp fixes i.e. velcro on flaps for tilted rattle, rubber stickon for closed roof rattle.

Please help if you know the answer to the other ones. I appologize if I am repeated others queries. Your Aussie Mate.

Is it a rattle or buzz near the lock and reflector area? If so, pull the door panel and wrap the rod which attaches to the lock **** with some electrical tape. While you're at it, go ahead and cover the female receptacles of the door with electrical tape where the plastic pins insert. Also place tape underneath the styrofoam incase the day to day vibrations causes the buzzing sound. That should solve your problem. Did mine. Good luck!

fins4284,
was your rattle coming from the passenger door? I have a rattle/buzzing from that area, but I can't figure out whether it's from the glove compartment or from the passenger door.

gonna have to do some snooping

Thanks Fins4284 and Sambusik. Most of my noises seems to sound like the top of window moving on the door seal thus getting seal squeeking mvement noises - very irratating. I thought they had gone away but found out that my tire pressures were very low -thus making the ride softer. Both doors seem to have the problem - maybe electrical tape may help. The dealer is now plastic coating the boot door latch to stop the metal rattle in there. ANyone no the fix for what appears to be the seat belt adjuster?

Thanks again.

Swifty,

Have the dealer realign your windows. Worth a try. Electrical tape is not a long term fix. Good luck...

My dealer added insulation to the inside of my driver's door and it eliminated the noise.....I was told it is a "common" rattle with MINIs.....rattle gone...bugged me for about a year.....right in my ear !!
