If you follow this link to the Today Show, there's a video feature in the top/center-right area of the page which has a 1/12 counter. The Leno story preparing for the Today show has about 15 seconds of him driving the Mini's. It's not much but it's all they have.

didnt know hers was electric blue though. i saw a photo of her being a passenger in a black mcs. maybe she has more than one.

 

The Italian Job crew came down to Owings Mills, MD this morning to thrash around for the local FOX morning show. The stunt driver and mechanic are both very nice guys and really enjoy what they do.

They only had one MINI, as Leno burnt out the clutch on the blue one.

He took people for rides around the closed off, and watered down parking lot and did a lot of foraward and reverse spins and some fancy parking.

He said that Leno did pretty well considering he hadn't driven a MINI before. Someone asked him if Leno had a new MINI among his huge stable of cars. Apparently Jay is one of those who don't like the MINI, considering it not a 'real' Mini at all. He loves the classic Mini though.

Here is the car they brought down. It is 2 days off a dealers lot and totally stock, unlink the ones used in the film.
