Trying to get the lid off (it's the newer style with the cutout)...there are two bundles of wires tied to a small spring clip that's attached to the right-hand side of the lid, and I can't figure out how to release that clip. Anyone know the trick, or do you just leave the clip attached and cut the plastic tie?

After that's done, remove the intake hose (necessary?) and the two Torx screws--then what? I don't want to break the plastic tabs.

i just left mine on. unsrewed the screws and pulled up. it did not come up all the way but it was enough to get the K&N drop-in.
