'05-06 xenon headlight glare in heavy snow - possible fix
Don't know if I should put this in "appearance", or "electrical", but here goes...
I posted a while back about driving in very heavy snow - seems the xenons with their "rifle vents" emit a lot of light up high into the driving snow, creating more glare than I'd like. I had an idea of putting "eyelids" on the lights, but didn't want it to look like the Fast and the Furious had come to town. Off to the friendly decal shop again, this time for some silver to match toe roof and mirrors. 10 minutes and a scissors, and here we are!
Haven't tested them yet, have a long drive tonight and again on Thursday night (probably in rain/snow even though it's 70 today in Pittsburgh!) and will report. They look neat, anyway, and don't interfere with light going forward...

maybe if you slant them. like how mini eyes look such as mine. that might look cool. might not help as much as wat you did. but might work a little and have a nice look.
if you catch my drift that is.

OK, haven't been able to fully test (problem occurred mainly in that very heavy, large-flake snow and it's late in the season for snow here) but there seems to be a decrease in glare in rain... and the mod is almost not noticable from a distance as the silver is a decent match for both the roof and headlight backings. I'll leave it on and see what happens... maybe I'll p-shop it into black and go for a "The King" look (reference: movie "Cars").
So... agreed it's a little differeent looking, but it seems to work for me right now. The beauty of vinyl is that it's easily removable...

I think it looks pretty cool, but most of all I love your creative solution to your problem, great job
