I thought this shift linkage only had to do with the MC, not the S. Guess this guy was just unlucky? Any takers on this one? Still lovin every minute of my "motoring experience"!!!!!!!!!!

Edwards linkage broke in a completely different place. It's the only one I've heard of that happening to. Eventually every part on a MINI will be broken by someone somewhere, it's the nature of complex machines. We have to learn not to put so much weight on isolated incidents.
