Here's the deal. The black top on my MCS get's some of those little brown spots (I assume it's bug or partial bird dung) which leave a spot in the paint after I wash them off. I tried waxing but they're still there. What's the best way to get rid of the spots without leaving a swirl mark on the paint after it's all said and done? Procedure and product info please.

I can live with the rock chips in the front (at least I'm having fun when they happen) but these damn spots are coming when the car's parked during the day (he sleeps indoors at nite).

Please check out the Detailing 101 forum - there is a lot of great info there. I've been waxing cars for years but have learned more from that forum in the last 4 months than I learned in the last 10 years on my own !

I use a nylon scrubber ( from WalMart ) to remove bugs and droppings when I wash the car. Found it in the auto care isle!

Hi there. Try completely dissolving the foreign material with water and vinegar solution to soften it up so that very little friction is created while wiping off. You minimize swirls that way. If residue is stubbord, try claybar. For additional protection, try Zaino's Z5 (w/ ZFX preferably) --of course you'll have to prep your MCS prior to application. See: Zaino for additional instructions. Not only will you have a deep long lasting shine, it will also serve as a barrier for future droppings/spotting. Good luck.
