Is it safe to spray the supercharger or should I put some plastic over it when cleaning the engine? I like to open the hood a couple times per year and give my cars a good cleaning under the bonnet.

Cheers,

The supercharger is a VERY well sealed unit.
Don't do it when it's HOT, of course.
Simple Green is fantastic for cleaning the engine compartment.
It works GREAT and does NOT stink like fuel oil as some of the cleaners do.
Just watch how ambitious you get with the water blast on electrical stuff and you'll be just fine.
