1st This is still AMERICA and the seller can do what ever he wants. Its called FREEDOM.
2nd Are you really talking about integrity on iternet fourms. LOL That has to be the best joke I have ever heard.
3rd The seller is free to make a buck any way he wants.
4th Also the world is all about ME.

If you dont like it to bad.PS If you would like to buy one here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...d=246205310075
Also if I wanted to be a real A-hole I would buy that one also for $60. So you can kiss my S.
Wow, where is all of this hostility coming from? I was simply looking for a nice poster to decorate my office...
I just bought my mini a couple of months ago and was really excited about it not just because I love the car, but because I felt like I'd joined this whole "community" of people who were bonded in a way by their Mini - the waving on the street, the camaraderie on this forum, etc. That was reaffirmed when I posted my request for this poster here and ZeRO EVOlution helped me search the web for it and even offered to ask around for it. Carmichael also offered suggestions on where to look.
Then New_sacred_cow showed up and said s/he had two of them. I was elated! And s/he offered to sell one to me for $20, which I thought was a bit high for a poster that was free to begin with, but I did want to provide some sort of compensation for it, so I agreed. Then a week later, I hadn't heard anything, so I wrote again, and was ignored. It was at this point that New_sacred_cow announced that it was going up on ebay.
This upset me not just because I wanted the poster, but it took away all the good feelings that I had toward the mini community. Yes, of course I understand that people have the right to sell whatever they want for however much they want, but that is not the point. The point is that it was promised to me first, AND we are supposed to have a sense of community with each other in this forum. Integrity, yes. Maybe this is "just a forum" but it is a forum of mini owners that I would like to think is of a higher standard than the average Joe. I guess that's where I went wrong.
If Chili_Mini_PA offered $60 for the poster, that's obviously hard to turn down, but New_sacred_cow was lucky enough to have TWO posters, so could sell the second one for $60 AND keep the original promise. A win for everyone.
But instead, New_sacred_cow, said to be "fair" it was going on ebay. It was with that terminology that I had a problem. If you are being greedy and going back on a promise then don't try to cover it up by saying you are doing the fair and noble thing. At least own up to it.
Anyways, the worst part of this whole thing is I feel like I've lost the sense of community I was so excited about. This morning, I drove by a couple Minis on the way to work and didn't even feel like waving... because what if it was someone like New_sacred_cow inside?
Hopefully my faith will be restored at some point, but that is where I am now.

god there are so many sarcastic responses in the chamber but they are all flooding my mind at once. This seems to sum it up well:
