R50/53 Titan's First Road Trip
Titan's First Road Trip
Titan now has almost 800 miles on him and has taken his first road trip. It was short but tricky drive. From Woodland Hills to Palm Springs, through gusty 45 MPH winds and blowing dust. He took a nasty rock to the middle of his windshield but espaped without damage.
Even with the high winds and lousy pavement (it seems like there's construction every mile of the way) the Mini held its line great and rode as solidly as my BMW. Gas mileage was amazing: OBC shows a range of 70 miles and there are almost 400 miles on the tank.

Congratulations! We also have a Pepper White/Black Cooper CVT, but it is a 2002, which we bought brand new 4 and a half years ago. Has 41,000 and it is rock solid. We also got the 15" radial continental tires but with the R82 "8-spoke" wheels that were offered at the time.
Great choice!

Thanks. I wish my Mini had come with the Contis. The Conti SportContacts are among my favorite sport/touring tire. The Pirelli's on Titan so far score only a "Pretty Good" on my smile gauge, but perhaps they'll prove better over time.
By the way, milege on the trip came out to 35.99 by calculation. OBC showed it as slighly less. Pretty cool...
