It could either be the game that ticked them off or something else. In the area I live in, people regularly call me "gay" and "***" for driving a Mini. If my car got scratched up, it would most likely be the work some intollerant loser taking out his homophobia on my car.

I have been called gay over and over and over again at a red light by a guy driving an SUV with artificial ********* hanging off the trailer hitch - talk about irony.

And a couple of weeks ago, as I parked my car in front of my house and walked towards the front door, two lovely gentlemen driving in a convertible eclipse (ultimate manly car right?), yelled out "***" as they passed by.

I guess there are a lot of intollerant, jealous, stupid people out there that could do worse things to you than scratch your car up. If life had bad karma saved up for you, this is a good way to get it. We all love our cars, but at the end of the day, it is just an object and can easily be fixed.

Man, sorry about your baby.

Mine got a "ding" --- more like a poke with a pen or ice pick when it was just a couple months old.

At least it can be fixed...

Hey bro, I feel for you. Some people can just be absolute jerks. Happened to my parent's MCS, keyed ON THE ROOF from front to back. Why the roof? Beyond me..

Makes me very sad to call myself a college student. I mean come on, when my Bears lost to Green Bay I didn't go out and scratch up some Packers fan's car. It's called dignity and having respect for things that belong to others, but unfortunately some people just did not have the upbringing they should have.

With this in mind, I park in the desolate wastes of the OUTER rim parking lots, you know those ones where you'll find a shopping cart there from the year before because no one decides to park there. Hey, my logic hasn't been off yet.

Typical SUV driver = Lazy.
Lazy = Park near front of store.
Park near front of store and get bashed by behemoth opening gigantor the tank's door = Upset MINI.

Moral of this story: Park MINI's as FAR away from uncivilized persons as possible.

Sorry I couldn’t help...

Man, I feel your pain!
Every time I see something like this, it just deepens my belief that there is very little hope for humanity, Courtesy, common sense and respect are all but gone from society. Unfotunately, we have become a "Me, Me" society and our fellow man/woman are no longer important. But then, I read this thread and I see so many people feel as I do, it just gives me a bit of hope again. Motor on...respectfully!!!
