Goodbye All.

I come to say goodbye to all you motorists out there.
It was time to put the family first. So "the MIN" as we
called it is no more. I'll miss it and this forum.
I've learned a lot about my car and cars from that matter
here. And had a F-in great time with that car.

Peace, be well.

Studog

Sorry to hear that you are parting with your MINI. Hope you had many found memories with it. I'm planning on dying in mine. And lucky for me, my family loves that little car.

The MINI is safer than that SUV... don't roll it! ;-)

:( :( :( I'm a mom, and my boy rides perfectly safe and sound in the MINI. :( But if you have a whole crew of three or more kids, I can see the need.

Sad to lose an enthusiast...

As a new father, I can certainly understand and appreciate how tough it is to live with from a family perspective. Putting my son into his rear-facing seat is an act that even a gymnast/contortionist would find nearly impossible.

Luckily, my wife has a Honda CR-V people-mover SUV thingy, and we've been able to make that the primary family vehicle. I secretly pray that I will never have to give up my MINI, like you have had to do.

Good luck to you. I agree with SandiePepper, you will be back. Maybe not for many years, but someday, you will own another MINI or Mini...

Leave NAM? You can't leave NAM! You're in the cult for life, MINI in the driveway or not!

I was gonna say, even if you have to part with your MINI, it doesn't mean that you have to leave NAM! Look at chows4us! He's been MINI-less for several months, but he's still posting!

You don't have to own a MINI to be a part of NAM! You just have to be a part of the community!

Sorry to hear about the loss, but I hope you stick around!

Yeah, the Porsche forums are such yawners that he prefers to hang around here and provide some pop-corn quality entertainment.

+1

It is truly a sad thing to part with a family member. It has only been three months so far but my family couldn't imagine losing Silver Bean. At least time to time, the entire family piles in. That is including my almost 18 year old, 6 foot tall son who sits in the back.

Can someone please explain to me why I read so many people who have to give up the mini because of the family? I have read posts that say "the wife says it has to go". I just don't understand that. Are those wives that controlling? If so I feel sorry for those guys. I am sure the mini can't be used to haul around a family but I would imagine most people have more than one car also.
