I think I have about everything you can get "standard" - bonnet (with grille slats), front bumper, covers on head/fog/parking lights, mirror caps, door cups, hood scoop, door edges and side stone guards. I also added door edge material around the cabrio tailgate. With the precut kits I have (and/or the way they were installed) there isn't as much coverage in some places as I was expecting. The mirror caps only cover about 50% of the mirror cap, the door cups leave big "v"s exposed behind the handle, and there are fairly significant gaps around some of the lights in front (some up to 1/2"). While on my color you don't notice this from more than a couple of feet away, it isn't the "full coverage" protection I was hoping for. So far I haven't picked up any bogeys on those non-protected areas, but I'm sure I will during the life of the car... but even with that, I'm very glad I got what I got. Over time it will have a HUGE impact on reducing chips - and the added bonus I hadn't thought about is that I can QD the front end pretty aggressively to knock off bugs and crud without worrying about swirling my paint up there... I DO think it makes a huge difference what color paint you have - on my cool blue metallic, little defects in the way the Xpel is installed (stretch marks, squeegee likes, etc) aren't visible unless you really look for them. On other colors these could really jump out at you...

Regarding what's needed (which was your question) - just depends on what you want to guard against. I like everything I got. Perhaps the least necessary piece were the stone guards - but they're practically invisible and I like that better than the black ones you can get. Even with the gaps, I think the door cups will help keep fingernail scratches out of there (which are awful on my 6 year old minivan). The gaps are in places where you usually won't gouge with your nails.

My 8 dollars and 2 cents worth...
