I always wanted "Come and Catch Me Copper"... (an old Mopar color, I believe!)... they had others that were as cleverly named, can't recall them now...

Happy with my Astro Black and Silver...

In 2002 you could order Rootbeer. It was a beautiful brownish color. I don't see that mentioned anywhere. There is a guy here in Phoenix that has a solid Rootbeer!

I've seen Hot Chocolate. But I've never seen Root Beer for comparison.

Maybe we can get together and decide if they're the same color.

Here is a reference to a poll taken by MINI on their website in 2001 on what were the most popular colors being ordered. It is referred to as Rootbeer. It is what I wanted on my 2003 but when I ordered it in 2002, it had already been discontinued.

Motoringfile has been hinting at a new, darker black (although still metallic and not quite JB) . . . so I would guess AB next out.
What's your guess?

Edit - although the easy answer is that, unless White Silver is expanded to other models, it will be out with the end of the R52 and its Sidewalk package.
I'm also guessing (and hoping) that HO wll be brought back for the intro of the R57.

Yes, a lot of those colors were never seen over here, and probably nowhere else either. It is interesting!!!

As an owner of a Royal Grey MCS, I'm quite happy that I'll not be seeing more of them at track events. At one event last year 3 of the 5 Minis were Royal Grey! In the South Florida PBOC it is the leading color of tracked Minis.

Before they finalized the color names, here's what they were referred to by MINI USA:
Code:
Cosmos Black ...... New Moon
Solid Black ....... Tux
Electric Blue ..... Iceberg
Indi Blue ......... Cloud 9
Solid Gold ........ Jackpot
Silk Green ........ Oasis
Chili Red ......... Gotcha
Velvet Red ........ Burnin' Rootbeer
Pure Silver ....... Coin
Dark Silver ....... Haze
Pepper White ...... Nougat
Liquid Yellow ..... Nacho
British Racing Green was always BRG.

An orange color called "Tazmania" was dropped ...
