R50/53 anything different for 2004?
There is almost no information on spec changes for the 2004 model year. Pricing and equipment information will not be available until the month of August. 2004 model year production begins at the Oxford, UK plant on September 1st, 2003.
Don't expect any sort of radical changes to the looks or powertrain of the car. I think there will be some added options (Some like the E-shift steering wheel mounted CVT paddles are already available for order on the Cooper CVT) and some new colors (Pepper White is rumored to become available in the MCS and likewise Electric Blue will be available for the first time in the regular Cooper).
So it is hard to tell this early, but you can certainly place an order for a new '04 MINI, however you won't know about any price increases or new options until 4 months from now.
I placed my '04 MCS order at the end of January. Wjat a long wait but I am sure it will be worth it.
The 2004's should have better build quality and some irriitants already ironed out.
Cheers.
