R50/53 MINI Love
16 months of motoring as of yesterday, a little over 47.5k miles on the odo.
And honestly I couldn't imagine myself driving anyhting else

And I still look forward to every chance I get to take Pearl out and got a little drive or a nice cross country road trip

And I still dream about motoring and even catch myself shifting in my sleep

This thread is making me think we need a special MINI community where the whole neighborhood is MINI drivers and we can all stand in aour driveways at 2am and just sit and stare at our MINIs. Doesn't even need to be clean to like the way it looks and the feelings MINIs inspire

Here's to never "just another car"
Yeah, there is something very special about this car and the community that surrounds it.

Great thread, hears my story: I'm 55 years old and my first car was a 1963 chevy SS impala conv. I won't bore my fellow members with all of the in betweens, but our new Mini Cooper S in my 30th car and I have had and still due have some very cool cars. Our new MCS is Soooooo much fun to drive and we luv it. I feel as most due this car is a keeper.
Yes, they are special little cars. I can tell you that the MINI community now is very much like the 356 community 40 years ago (before the 911's arrived).
Small cars, a little quirky, certainly not overpowered and certainly not cheap. Lots of mods, lots of light-blinking and waving, people either got it or didn't.
Other similarities -
1600 cc (damen, super and super 90 - Cooper, Cooper S, JCW)
Two comfortable front seats with two vestigial folding rear seats not fit for habitation.
Fitted luggage.
I'll add more as I think of them. Think I'll go wipe down the car.

Well the 2 MINI family was already brought up. All my wife had to do was drive mine and now she wants her own. So that will happen sometime this next year.
Great car, KPMINI, relatively new only had him 3 weeks today.
Thanks for answer question and just helping a newbe out.

I've driven lots of cars before arriving at the MINI stage of my life. I adore my 02 MC and intend to drive it until it starts misbehaving mechanically. (I drive, can't repair!) I tend to keep cars for 10 to 11 years and my Mini acts like it's going to be a keeper.
Haha I do the same, don't worry! The other day was her first snowfall and I was parked on the side of a busy downtown street. There were Christmas lights along the street and in the windows of the stores and it looked so beautiful with the soft snow falling! I took a bunch of pictures and people were staring at me weirdly. Whatever. This one guy was driving a Taurus. Of course he doesn't get it!

Then, they both SLOWLY backed up and jumped into their car and took off! It was really kind of funny now that I think about it.
