mdsbrain, you knew that if you revived this thread you would get more grief didn't you, you masochist

i just feel compelled to defend you: let him enjoy his car people! - there are far worse ways for someone to spend a bit of money then prudently changing vehicles periodically and enjoying the experience

Best of luck - as an ex-lex owner - once he warranty runs out - you'll dump it - way too expensieve to fix - oil chgs run 150, and my water pump went out - ekk cha ching - power window driver door - another 'cheap' fix.
~ enjoy - and good luck on used MCS - I totally can't wait for my 07

Pepper, whats wrong with a $150 oil change? Its a Lexus, isn't that supposed to be a luxary car? What you think your buying, a Chevy Cobalt? Seriously ... don't people know what they are getting into when buying a car.

If you won Lotto, dumped it all into a Ferrari, would you all have a shock when the first service cost $30K?

Later on in life when money, time and experience are greater I will be able to do a car up right. Not to mention get that manual transmission. But no matter what, a toy is a toy. They cost money and there is no way around it. I just hope in the future I will build a car that will run better and be in the garage longer.

A MINI to many is just a car they get for a while and then dump because its a novelty/mid-life crisis car/ TOY. Mine was a young person being able to afford a great car. I just messed it up being my one and only car.

Thank you TSB. I do still count the MINIs I see daily and wave as if I was still in mine.

What you gonna do Truthfully, my Lexus doesn't cost that much more then my MINI was. My MINI was $33,500, Lexus MSRP was $39,300.

Everyone decides what they will drive regardless of funds.
