And it would have been best if ALL of the emails had been reprinted, instead of only what was chosen to be reprinted. Thing is, we'll never know, and that creates suspicion.

Daisy, if you've been reading these forums for 12 months, I'd think you'd know that if your thread title had been something more like:

"Issues with overseas delivery of MC2 Magazine! Has anyone else had a problem?"

... would have generated a LOT less animosity towards you. MINI folks are, in my experience, two things:

NICE
and LOYAL.

Pointing out the problem in a NICE way would have dove-tailed in with what most people here feel. By titling the thread "Don't Subscribe to MC2 Magazine", coupled with the comments about legal actions, well, it felt like an attack, and that triggered the LOYAL part of the equation.

It's too late to change the past, and I think this issue has been thoroughly beat to death, but I still think it's worth mentioning.

Glad to hear that a solution to the delivery issue is in the works!

Whoa, this is way out of line. My company has very few customers outside of the US due to our strict shipping policy. It is not that we don't want them to order, not at all, no, it's this type of treatment that prevents us from doing so. Typically once the company has shipped the product, it is out of their hands. We have dealt with issues like this in Venezuela, Australia, Hungary, and even Poland where customers have gladly bought things from us, then argued a storm when US Mail was not able to deliver it within a month.

What you have to realize is that it is the shipping method, not the company.

Geez, this whole thing sounds like a CS nightmare. I honestly feel bad for MC2.

*Side note* Any legality matters should be discussed in a court of law, not a website. This can and will be used against you if the defendant is able to find and keep records of such. Obviously MC2 probably has an account with this website, and is most likely well notified of these actions. Chargebacks are again, a private matter and should be kept therein. In my experience though, my company has only lost 2/53 chargebacks this year. Your chances are probably the same. Credit cards aren't like Paypal, they don't just immediately side with you. Especially since the instances display such; a meager amount of money lost, as well as shipping fault, not the company performing a fraudulent action. Sorry to put the fuel on the fire, but in my case, you're at a loss.

Even then, the US Mail is responsible for the shipment only as far as the border. After that, it's out of their hands.

Just sent Gary an e-mail. Since I'm in the AF stationed in Germany, I asked if I can subscribe under a US address--APO address which should be the same as mailing in the US but ya never know...

If I can do the US 2-year subscription, I'm all over it

BTW I love Australia and New Zealand...spent a lot of time in "Cheech" (Christ Church) flying missions to teh South Pole..move there tomorrow if they'd let me!

Totally 100% agree. Also, if you have been here for a year, than why not introduce yourself at least, especially if you were an avid lurker.

APO isn't exactly like USA - I have to fill out customs forms to ship MINI circuits there, and I can't get delivery confirmation. But, the price is the same as to other USA locations

I just re-upped my subscription.
Does that make me a bad person?

My first interaction w- MC2 was a botched subscription due to an internet error. After the professional immediate attention that I recieved, I upped my subscription to 2yrs along with ordering a tshirt and all of the back issues. I have faith that the magazine will grow and continue to excel in providing me great reading material. Go mc2

She's convinced me....

I am going to order a second subscription because Mc2 deserves the business.
That'll teach 'em

I "can" get free issues from work but I just re-subscribed to help the cause. I love the mag, Gary and Barry are great guys and they work extreamly hard to bring us a quality MINI mag. I'm sure that there are postal problems in certain areas but that shouldn't be taken out on them, they seem to bend over backwards for these people and they deserve a little respect. Ok, I'm done.

great mag

I paid for a subscription and a t-shirt before I found and bought my used Mini.

I even bought 2 back orders until my first "real subscription" one arrives.
