Rear windshield wiper malfunctioning

Hi all
Did a search for info on this but not much luck - my apologies if the info is out there and I just didn't find it.

My 06 MCS is about two months old. I do not have rain sensing wipers. Rear wpier had been working great the couple of times I've used it. The last time I turned it on though just to do a quick swipe of the residual raindrops it wouldn't turn off. Kept going, fairly fast, for about 15-20 seconds after I turned it off, then suddenly stopped about halfway across the window. Would not then turn back on. However, about 10 minutes later it suddenly started up again on its own (**** was still in off position), continued for about 10-15 seconds, then stopped, again at a position up on the window. Tried it again after stopping and restarting the car - it either won't tun on at all, or won't turn off but suddenly stops partway across the window.

I'm assuming a short or fuse problem. It makes sense that a connection in a rear hatch that is shut somewhat forcefully repeatedly will over time work loose.

Anything out there that details how to access the wiring and/or specific fuses etc. so I can do a little diagnostic detective work?

Thanks and happy holiday motoring!

Sounds like either a bad wiper motor or bad switch. Neither of which you can do much with. Off to the dealer with you!
Oh, and Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays!
