Help - Rattle is driving me nuts

I have noticed a rattle that seems to be coming from the front driver's side of the car when going slowly over rough roads, manhole covers, etc. It sounds like metal objects rattling in a toolbox. I have a Detroit Tuned BBK, Koni FSD shocks, H-sport springs and PIAA driving lights. All the suspension units are tight, nothing is loose under the bonnet, and I can't elicit any rattle noise from the front wheel when hitting it with a mallet. I am starting to suspect the PIAA light brackets. Any ideas

Did you have a reduction pulley installed/engine jacked up? The heat shield that goes behind the exhaust manifold and down through the transmission tunnel where the coolant expansion tank mounts was loose on my car and made a similar sound after getting wacked around from a pulley install. I just kind of bent it back into place. Check the other heatshielding in the area/underneath the car as well. Its quite flimsy.

I found the rattle. It was the front brake pads chattering inside the BBK front calipers.

What did you do to resolve it?

Matt at Central Coast Coopers removed the front pads and applied some silicone-like product to the metal surfaces. The product was called something like Anti-brake squeal. No more noise!!
