NOT 'My MINI' Visa

So, I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this problem. But it is just so ridiculous that the My MINI Visa is all about having MY MINI on it!

Here's the scoop... ...sorry...

I ordered one before I took delivery. So, instead of the VIN, I configured it just like on MINIusa.com

The site makes SURE that 'this is right, right?' before you submit it to the 'credit card making machine'. It was right, the first time, second time, third time (with the VIN):impatient , the fourth time ...so then I just got the Wings logo version. The only things they got right on the NOT My MINI card was the color, the tires and maybe the chrome.

Soooo...I decided to create a completely new 'My MINI' card. NOT Chili Red, NOT anything like MY MINI.

Lo and behold, my new My MINI Visa card has a perfectly configured MINI that is NOT mine.

Oh well, the Wing logo card is cool!

I'm obsessed with cards too. My company has a visa card for employees with nice rates. But it clashed with my AMEX Blue card, so I didn't get it.

We signed up for the MINI Visa while on MTTS, just to get the free t shirt. When they arrived they just had the MINI wings, not our MINI. The wife ordered replacement cards. So far, we have received 4 more cards in the mail, all with MINI wings. I've given up on getting a card with MY MINI on it!

I think 'it' gets stuck on whatever you 'ordered' first. I'm glad 'they' weren't in charge of making my real MINI.

I originally thought they would put a picture of MY MINI on the card (I have a couple to choose from), but looked at how it worked, and saw what a joke it is.

Well, I got one card with the car like I had ordered and the other had the MINI wings on it... I have since canceled the cards 'cause the terms weren't what I expected and the customer service didn't seem to be as full featured as I would have expected....

Can't beat AMEX for customer service.

I was an early adopter of the MINI card when they first came out, and my card came looking exactly like my car with the exception of the aftermarket wheels. I had anthracite Flik Wasps, so chose the anthracite option S wheels and it looks close enough. I bought a laptop with it the day I got it, and will have it paid off before the 0% introductory rate expires. Then it just becomes a collectable, rates and terms aren't that good.

I got the card with my exact MINI on it. It worked out very smoothly. I have a couple of months left on 0%. It works great for business purchases. I get tons of points and don't have to worry about interest or anything like that since my work pays it off ASAP. Free MINI stuff here I come.

I ordered the MINI card right after our MCS was in production. My wife's card has photo of her MINI - I got stuck with the MINI wings. There was some kind of lame explanation about production problems in creating a second card with the vehicle photo. Oh well - at least we got the right car!
