Hey All,
I was at the dealership for the first time since last September, and there it was....a new 03' Pepper White. Although I enjoy my car as much as the next person, I really do regret not getting the color combination that I liked the most-Pepper White. Some of you might be asking why, and the answer is just impatience. I was not willing to wait a couple of months, and I jumped pretty quickly at the first Cooper that was not marked at "true market value". With the type of financing that I engaged in, I will be trading in three years. Hopefully, they wil still make the combination.

Anyone else have second thoughts?

Jim

I had a lot of thoughts about color. I originally wanted velvet red, but the S did not come in that color. So i settled on my second choice BRG/B when i placed the order. Then I started thinking about electric blue... especially cause i can't find a die-cast collectible cooper s in my color combination, but then i looked at photos of electric blues and it was just "too much" color for me, and I drive a blue car now, so i'm sick of blue. So I think I'm happy with what I ended up with (if it ever get here). May seems so far away.

Yes and No.
i chose BRG with black top because i loved the way it looked and there were not many others out there with the combo (i've only seen 1 other MCS with this same combo) i didn't want a white top for fear of standing out too much (COPophobia) but now i hate having to dust my car seemingly every day!! :???:

BRG I love, but I wish it wasn't so metallic!

I had a hard time deciding between the pure silver and the indie blue. Finally I went silver and I have never looked back.

I ordered and waited 2.5 months for a Chili Red/white top & wheels MCS and I am very pleased. I think it is a sharp color combination. I also like Dark Silver/black top and Indi Blue/white top & wheels. Color is such a personal choice and with the different colored tops, hood strips and wheels with the MINI the choices are many!

Yes. People warned me about buying a black car, but the price was right and I was impatient. I love the color, but it needs washing twice a day. Never buy a black car.

I loooove my silk gree/white. As soon as I saw the color in the book, I knew that was the one I had to get. I hadn't seen one in person until after I ordered it. When I went to pick it up, it looked and still looks HEAVENLY!! No regrets here! In fact, I always joke to people that if I ever got an S, I have no clue what color I would get, because I don't like any of the other colors even half as much as my silk green!

I'm going to come out and admit that thinking about this topic takes up 90% of brain at any given moment.

This thread needs more pics!

Any Indi B/W or Electric B/W out there?

Thanks for the vote against black. Do you live somewhere with a harsh winter, or is black a pain in the summer too? (I'm moving to Florida.)

I assume you're not referring to the pinky-beige integuement that I've been wearing for the last 50+ years . . .

No regrets about Indi Blue/White -- it rocks!

No Regrets Whatsoever! Velvet Red/White is even unique among MINIs, which is exactly what I wanted. There's nothing like being different among the Different!

Of all the stock colors, Pure Silver is still my fave.
The only time I'm not sure is when I see another PS/B on the road, and wish I had a unique color that no other MC has.

If I could have had any color at all...

I really like the "VW dark blue"... Indie blue was too light for me.
and a real BRG, non-metallic and lighter would be my second choice.

I love, love, love my BRG/white. It is impossible to keep clean. I dust it everyday, and wash it 1 to 2 times a week. I love the Electric Blue, the Indi Blue, the Liquid Yellow, the Chili Red, the others are ok, but only the above colors work for me as MC colors. I would not change the color, but the BRG and, I can imagine, the black and maybe the IB are the hardest to keep clean looking. These colors are fantastic when clean though.

A clean Indy Blue is an "award wining" color!
