>>if i were as lucky as 2minis, and had 2 minis, my other one would be the Pure Silver
Actually only one now, my second. First was
Chili Red/Wht. Now EB/Wht.
But I want my wife to get a Pepper White...

I originally..... wanted Black on Black w/ a Lapis interior.
I was told I had to wait a min of 4 months.
I found a PS on Black w/ a Lapis interior @ Southhampton MINI...
It had everything I wanted....
I had to have it...NOW!!!!!
If I had to wait 4 months for a MCS ..I 'm positive I would not own one today.

Peace,
D

>>Thanks for the vote against black. Do you live somewhere with a harsh winter, or is black a pain in the summer too? (I'm moving to Florida.)

>>>>Yes. People warned me about buying a black car, but the price was right and I was impatient. I love the color, but it needs washing twice a day. Never buy a black car.
I live in Oregon. Not harsh, but wet and dirty. The boot gets dusty on everybody's car, but it shows up within minutes on black.

My order doesn't go in until the end of this month, so I actually still have time to change my mind (MC, not MCS)
I was torn between Pure Silver and Indi Blue, both with black roof. I'm definitely getting the sunroof, and I like the way it blends in with the black roof rather than stands out on the white roof.
After looking at both colors on the lot for what seemed like hours, I came to this conclusion: the Pure Silver looks more "classy" (like a miniature rolls-royce), while the Indi Blue looks more sporty and fun. So I decided to go with Indi Blue. Plus, there just seems to be a zillion silver cars on the road already (of all makes).
IB is a popular MINI color but most IB's out there have white roofs, so I like the relative uniqueness of the black roof.
Just yesterday for some reason I decided to take another look at the Velvet Red, because it's relatively rare, and I hadn't really given it fair consideration at first. So I stopped at the dealer last night and looked at one - it was too dark for me though.
So it's IB/B for me and I don't anticipate any regrets.

While I do love my Silk Green/Black MINI, I have to admit that my first choice WOULD have been Dark Silver/Black. Since Dark Silver isn't available for the Cooper, I began to look at the colors on offer. Like some others, I didn't like the contrast between the black glass of the sunroof and a white roof. That eliminated my second choice, Indy Blue/White. I chose Silk Green (sight unseen, except in the catalog) because I thought it looked sophisticated. I then realized that it also means I have three cars and they're all green! Below, my SG/B posing next to my (green) 1967 Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato.

Liquid Yellow is a great colour to have, but you have to do a lot of cleaning
In winter it picks up muck from the road (the boot is *very* grimy after a short motorway trip). In summer everything small and buzzing things it's a big 70mph flower and the bonnet and windscreen soon look like you've been rallycrossing through an insect farm.
Wouldn't trade our little yellow mini for any other colour though
Most of the other liquid yellows I've seen have had the black roof, ours is white (thus the name Little Nellie). That and the 17" alloys and she stands out a mile. People seem to smile a lot around Nellie

I actually changed my color choice (and subsequently Model Choice) the day I went to give my final specs. There was a PW/PW sitting in the showroom and that threw me over the top. Pepper White looks so much better in person than it does in pics. So I went with the PW/B with no regrets. I kind of like being one of the less popular colors out there!
Here's a pic of the car.

>>Hey All,
>>I was at the dealership for the first time since last September, and there it was....a new 03' Pepper White. Although I enjoy my car as much as the next person, I really do regret not getting the color combination that I liked the most-Pepper White. Some of you might be asking why, and the answer is just impatience. I was not willing to wait a couple of months, and I jumped pretty quickly at the first Cooper that was not marked at "true market value". With the type of financing that I engaged in, I will be trading in three years. Hopefully, they wil still make the combination.
>>
>>Anyone else have second thoughts?
>>
>>Jim
I wouldn't call it second thoughts.
I love my EB/W 03 MCS with white V-spokes.
However, every time I go to a dealer or see another MINI I still get sooooo excited, and think, 'that color would be cool to have, and that one, and that one.
There is not a single color combo of the MINI I don't like. Ok, I haven't seen the gold yet.
I had a really hard time choosing. My other fave at the time of ordering was DS/W,
but the other day at a local dealer I saw a CR/B MCS with black striped and Rallye lights. What a beauty!!!

first MINI I bought was a 1.5 inch long and Liquid Yellow - when I went to order the real thing seemed I should match it
My 2 yr old would have kicked my A$$ if got a different color
Now I only got to see other colors when I collected the egg , though I love it to bits I think I may have swung to EB/W

V Amini,
Actually that picture was from the parking lot behind the war Memorial Arch in Valley Forge National Park here in Pennsylvania (big civil war battelfield). I have seen a few others mini's from MCO getting there picture taken at one spot or another in that park. Nice place to go for a jog/run/walk too if your ever in the area.

I loved the S, I wanted the S, I was going to get the S. I knew what options I wanted. But for the life of me I couldn't settle on a color. I liked the dark silver, pure silver, indigo blue, chili red, liquid yellow. Was having a very hard time figuring out what I would put my order in for at the dealer.
I went for my test drive, was ready to buy. Lo and behold, they had an S in stock with all the options I wanted. Liquid yellow with white top and bonnet stripes. I considered it because even though I liked the yellow it wasn't my first choice. Well, I went for it and I'm so happy I did. I have simply fallen in love with my little yellow bee. And what other color could you pull this off on quite so well?

At first I wanted pure silver....until I saw a Dark silver/white with Lapis Blue on the lot and it absolutely blew me away...I had to have that car!
I find that Dark silver looks best with lapis blue, which I absolutely had to have after I saw it...
Now if the "S" came in pepper white, it might have been a harder choice..

You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant (excepting silk green...)
Or was that a Harry Chapin quote? I know I've heard it!

I absolutely love my CR/UJ! The only thing I wish I could've had was the Lapis to match the blue in the Union Jack, but they won't offer it on the Chile Red  .
Here's my "mule":

OO! OO! I got it! It's Country Joe McDonald at Woodstock!!! Thank God, that was driving me nuts.
Anyway, I have no color regrets. Honestly, if I could drive any car in the world, it would be a 5-speed chili red and white MINI Cooper. It still blows me away every day that that is my car!
